Maximum [Trailer]

Good trailer. The cast is very good, with Sonu Sood and Naseeruddin Shah as cops in main roles. Neha Dhupia and Anjana Sukhani may not be having principal roles I think. The dialogues are interesting, and Vinay Pathak is not in a comedy role for a change.

The story on politics, cops and urge to get to the top position could turn out very good if the director has used a good narrative. Would be great to see the rivalry between the cops played by Sonu n Naseeruddin. If this film is a success, then it would really benifit Sonu Sood a lot, after performance in Dabangg. For now, I am very much looking forward to this film.

Teri Meri Kahaani [Trailer]

The trailer gives a deja vu of lots of films, like Hum Tum (main tumse zaroor milunga kahin na kahin dialogue), Fanaa (all the shayaris used by both leads) and Love Aaj Kal (3 love stories between 2 different ppl in different times, portrayed by 2 leads). All this makes me not really appreciate the trailer much.

Bombay part looks the best among the three, though not sure how real it appears. While in Lahore part, I don't like the hairstyle of Shahid. And in London part, it reminds me of some seen rom com film sequence.

Everything comes to one question, how does Kunal Kohli narrate all the 3 stories together. And how less he makes me thinks of all the films I thought of while watching the trailer. For now, my expectations are very less from this film.

"Khuda ne jab tujhe banaya hoga, ek suroor uske dil mein aaya hoga.. socha hoga kya dunga tohfe mein tujhe, tab jaake usne mujhe banaya hoga"...

Shanghai [Trailer]

Dibakar Banerjee's film, having Abhay Deol, Emraan Hashmi, Kalki straightaway increases expectations. And this trailer doubles it. I am not fully sure about Emraan's character in the movie, he could be porn film maker as I read in the plot. Abhay is the Cbi officer though I get a feeling he has some negative traits in his persona. While Kalki, the innocent trying to fight for the death of a social activist.

Like the way those lines are used in the start, followed by 'Every action has a reaction'. Love that scene where Kalki is blaming Abhay for not properly investigating, with a basketball shot just when she says 'drama khel rahe hai', and the cut to Emraan's silly laugh. Vishal Shekhar could be in with a another good album, the song 'Bharat mata ki jai' holds lots of attention.

Also, that muh kaala scene and Emraan running in the last show with Cpu in hand. Surely more madness would be in the film, and lots of surprises too. Dibakar looks to me set for another captivating film.

Dangerous Ishhq [Trailer]

The plot doesn't look interesting, the same janam related story. Going into ur past, to find what happened and giving saja to the killers. Quite similar to 'Phiir' movie. How good the suspense turns out would in the end determine whether I like the film or not.

Karishma Kapoor looks so good, wish that rajasthan look wasn't kept as that's the only place she looks very awkward. Hoping Rajneesh Duggal has a good role, the film should definately prove important for him, first film with a big actress.

The set of actors including Jimmy Shergill are very good, but are they given good script or not would be the question to ask. Fingers crossed, want it to be good film and work for Karishma whom I like anytime over Kareena.

Also, the music by Himesh would be interesting to listen though I didn't like the 1st song that is just out.

"Iss janam mein agar tumhe chahne wale tumhare saath hai, toh tumse nafrat karne wale bhi tumhare saath hi honge."

Department [Trailer]

Amitabh Bachchan is so impressive in this trailer of upcoming Ram Gopal Verma film. Plus at two scenes he reminds of his own past films. During the 'Illegal' dialogue, his dialect is similar to 'Agneepath' and in the 'Bajaani hai' dialogue, he is in 'Satte pe Satta' mode. It could be Rgv idea to make him deliver the dialogues like that, or just my own way of looking at it.

Lots of good punchlines in the trailer. Sanjay Dutt was the only actor that didn't appeal at all to me. Rana could find me appreciate his work, after his not so good performance in 'Dum Maaro Dum'. And the typical Rgv camera angles are part of this trailer too though not in abundance this time, watch the 0:37th and 0:57th scenes.

The action looks good. I hope the screenplay is impressive, and the film turns out to be good.

"Jab jab yeh ghanti bajti hai mujhe yaad dilaati hai ke mujhe desh ke har dushman ki .. bajaani hai ?. Aur jab jab yeh bajti rahegi, tab tak main sabki.. bajaata rahunga ? Correct. "

Movie Analysis : Housefull 2

Directed by Sajid Khan
Imdb link -> http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1980986/

Kyunnn thak rahi hain ...

I liked Housefull a lot, and hence despite having find all the trailers of Housefull 2 not that attractive, there was a feeling I may end up liking this film. But, it turned out to be very bad film.

JD (Mithun Chakraborty) is a millionaire who was once a well known Jagga Dakku, one by one every Jolly along with their love and their families, end up reaching his house. Only JD's son, Jolly (Ritiesh Deskhmukh) is real, rest try to have different identities for their own purposes. Amidsts all this confusion, Sajid tries to showcase many comic moments.

Firstly, the film is too loud. Just notice actors like Randhir Kapoor and specially Rishi Kapoor, who are asked to shout as loudly as possible while delivering their dialogues. At one time, I totally began to dislike Rishi Kapoor in the film, thats how badly Sajid made him look. Then, the comedy at many places that simply brings no laugh, like Aakhiri Pasta (Chunky Pandey) who was a big laugh riot for me in the last film, he is simply ordinary this time, with a nonsense bathroom of one house to bedroom of other shift. Comedy doesn't need silly things to be done by actor, which Sajid Khan has to understand.

I really liked the pairing of the actors, Akshay (Sunny) - Asin (Henna), John (Max) - Jacqueline (Bobby), Ritiesh (Jolly) - Zarine (JLo) and Shreyas (Jai) - Shazahn (Parul). But Sajid fails to extract so so much from such a good pairing. Some of best scenes he does bring out were, Sunny teaching Henna how to say in a dirty way 'Aeeeeee'. Bobby giving a lecture to Max on all the animal clothes he wears. The chopper scene where JLo complains to Jolly.

Another problem with the film is, the numerous re-bondings which appear so much fake. Must say, the fights incurred between Sunny-Max, JD-Batook(Boman Irani) are well directed. But, a sudden fight turning into friendship between Sunny-Max(ala Waqt Hamaara Hai) was undigestable, more to blame John here who performed the scene badly. While, Henna and Bobby bonding was silly more due to Sajid's direction. And the film had to end on another re-bonding, JD and Sunny. When JD accepts his mistake to Sunny, it more like appeared him saying 'I was just having 5 mins of timepass, kab se bandook nahi chalayi thi..'. Sigh, we audience had to tolerate those 5 mins Mr JD. And another was, Sunny getting slapped by his father who teaches him never to hurt any girl's feelings. How quickly Sunny realizes it. How Max steals things as if the other people are the dumbest ones not to realize it (Remember Parvarish, there has to be a way to do it, Sajid!). The cliches are galore in this movie.

Sajid Khan's direction was just terrible, having liked his both films Housefull and Heyy Baby. Surely, it was a case of one film gone totally wrong. Happens with well known directors too. The dialogues of the film are stupid, at times irritating too. Cinematography is nice.

The songs aren't exciting either like they were in Housefull, still they are enjoyable as compared to the comedy situations in the film. I like 'Papa ko band bajaaye' song, very good choreography, just wish the costumes were better, those coats and colour choice was bad. While, 'Right here right now' and 'Humhe tumse mohabbat' were good romantic numbers. 'Anarkali' was a yawn song for me, Malliaka can't get every item number right.

Akshay Kumar was in his usual form, nothing exceptional except for two dialogues 'Aeeeeeee' and 'kyun thak rahi hai'. John Abraham is very average in this film, at places he does get his comic timing right, but he outdoes his anger at many situations and fails in lots of other scenes too.

Ritiesh Deshmukh does well in his role, specially that crocodile sequence, or the one where he explains who is Jolly on a blackboard. Shreyas Talpade is just about okay, I feel he needs a career changing movie now, almost doing the same kind of movies.

All the actresses looked very good, but their roles were very much limited, and have hardly any stealing scenes in the movie. Shazahn performance looked ordinary among all.

Mithun Chakraborty was probably the best among all the actors in the movie, that first conversation he has with Jolly one of my favs, or the Jaggu Daaku flashback sequence. Boman Irani was good in small cameo, he should had been given more scenes instead of the irritating with Rishi and Randheer. Johnny Lever is decent, with one great scene where he shuts off Aakhiri Pasta. Ranjeet has a lovely cameo, specially that end credits scene 'baby baby, beti beti', why did they keep in extra scenes.. so stupid!

Overall, Housefull 2 is a film that just doesn't work at all. Poor writing, poor dialogues and poor direction, along with some poor loud acting. Few good moments here and there, thats it. Sajid just tried too hard to outdo his last successful film, but ends up in making a film that should be quickly forgotten.

Verdict : POOR

Jannat 2 [Trailer]

Jannat had lots of punchlines and Emraan Hashmi is one of those guys who can make a punchline look powerful. Same is the case in Jannat 2 trailer, all the punchlines work. Interestingly, the dialogue writer is Sanjay Masoom whom I criticised for the reason why I couldn't love 'Blood Money'. Surely, a case of going wrong in one film for him.

The songs are already growing on me, the background appears to be good in the trailer. Happy to see them use 'Zara sa interlude' as background as well as the title track, awesome. And Emraan Hashmi looks in total form! Sonu Dilli Kutti Kameeni Cheez - mast thought of name.

Esha Gupta has no dialogue, I still feel Sonal was better in looks. Esha ain't looking good in saree to me, she looks gorgeous in other dresses.

Randeep Hooda surely would have large role than what Sameer Kocchar had in Jannat. 'Tujhe goli maar dunga', this guy has been getting better and better with every film. As Shagufta (writer of the film) tweeted, he is the surprise package of the film.

Vishal Malhotra slightly over-acted in Jannat, so I hope the guy who plays friend of Emraan in this film is better in his acting.

I like all the use of revolver background.. 'Load and Roll'.

I somehow feel Kunal would easily create the romantic story between Emraan and Esha. What I am more keenly waiting to see is how he shows the rivalry between Emraan and Randeep, and how he intermixes the work of Emraan's arms dealing with his love life. Hopefully, he won't fail in that regard like it happened in Tum Mile.

Wonder if Emraan dies this time too in this film, I have a feeling he kills himself  this time in the climax. Just a wild guess.
